My name is Pim Pouw, I was born in 1967 and since 1986 I am working as a volunteer, restoring aircraft at the "Early birds" foundation ( www.vroegevogels.org ). Here in the past 20 years I gained experience in building and the constructions being used in antique aircraft . Also I am profesionally working in the aircraft manufacturing business. At this moment I am working at an engineering company named "Neitraco" . I work here as an tooling engineer. The tooling I design are primarly products out of composite materials such as carbon, glass and aramide fibers. To produce these parts I design the lamination, trim and assembly tooling. For the design we use primairly the CATIA V5 Software. This software from Dassault/IBM has been the main package for aircraft design and manufacturing since years. As an example the Boeing 777 and 90% of the Airbus A380 have been engineered using CATIA V4. With the introduction of CATIA V5 the V4 version will be slowly fased out in the coming years. So, because of my profesional use of CATIA V5 it was naturely the first choice to do the engineering of the Fokker G1 with it.
